i won't be back till midnight so i have to catch the rebroadcast at 1 in the morning. the raps can't possibly lose again, can they?
I don't think Fanan is starting for Maccabi, he really sucks. He's only on the team because he's Moni Fanan's (some important front office guy) son. It'll probably be Jasaitis or Burnstein starting for them. This should be a win for the Raptors, they're looking very impressive so far in.
Wow, Fred Jones looks really good out there. He's made quite a few beautiful passes on the break. He's the primary ballhandler out there right now with Calderon on the floor as well. PJ Tucker is also very impressive, although he's made some stupid fouls and lost a few of the great passes that Jones threw to him.
Things i noticed watching the game: -Bagnani is very up and down... one minute i'm wondering what he's thinking, then he makes up for it in a hurry. He has a really quick release on his shot. -PJ Tucker is the type of overly agressive player we need on our roster. Having a guy (who will probably play the 3) who will crash the boards like him is a huge bonus. -Calderon was really impressive from what i saw picking out people on the break and just having overall good composure. -The quality of the game (that i watched near the end) was super low... i would not stretch this into meaning very much at all.
observations: -the score is misleading; maccabi controlled the first half but looked sluggish in the closing minutes of the third and certainly the fourth -it looked like ford hurt is hamstring at the end of the first half and our season flashed before our eyes -the raps backcourt of ford, caledron, jones and parker won the game; in fact, they dominated the opposition Bosh -looked like he hadn't played in a week -he still needs to work on his handles -they forced it into and i think that may have taken away from their offense Fred Jones -not enough superlatives in the english language can describe his play -he's an above average passer fyi Bargnani -looked awful -they ran the entire offense through him in the final minutes of the game to pad his stats Ford -played well after the first quarter Mo Pete -i think he's out of shape -his shot has no legs Parker -complete floor game -an absolute pro PJ Tucker -they played him at the four again -i don't see how they can keep him out of the lineup

The past 3 seasons he's averaged over 2 APG each year. If you look at his PER 40 APG since his sophomore year: 4.6 | 3.5 | 3.4, so yea he does have playmaking ability.

btw- arguably the best player for maccabi, rodney buford didn't play. it shocks me that buford doesn't have a nba job yet lammond murray does.

I remember Buford on New Jersey with Kidd and Carter in 04-05.
