What is your favorite band that you would think most people have never heard of? What somewhat unknown band do you recommend others to hear? Although Pennywise is HUGE in my music scene, they are relatively unknown in the general populace. They're on an indy label (Epitaph - big, but still indy) and don't allow their music on MTV or mainstream radio. Nonetheless they are a very popular band around the world. Music topics deal with politics, society, and other related topics. They are rather left in their views, though, so if you don't agree with their politics, the music may not be worthwhile, either. Recommended song to download: Waiting. Curious to hear what other bands people would recommend and whether I know of them or not. PS. Can't wait for football to start in full swing.
Primal Fear - German heavy metal. If you like Judas Priest, Helloween and/or Gamma Ray you will LOVE Primal Fear. http://www.primalfear.de

<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE (TheBeef)</div><div class='quotemain'>Squirrel Nut Zippers....ill be shocked if more than 2 other people from this sight knows who they are, but they are my favorite active band....</div> Swing band...hit the radios in the mid 90's and along with Cherry Poppin' Daddies did very well for a year or so. Vans Warped Tour even had them tag (CPD) for the tour in 98. Swing kinda died down, but as far as I know, SNZ are still around.
Punch People, a very good band from N.O. If anybody is into real Melodic/ balls to the wall/ jazzy rock. Then you should check em out at Punchpeople.net Hey look i'm advertising. Oh well, sorry. If you plan on checking out the site. I would recomend downloading "Delay", "Bomb", "Cool Front", and "Soupy ox". That's there more popular songs. If you're looking for the heavy shit, "Now and Then", and "Strange Broken Glass". Very good shit for a 3 piece band.
SNZ are still around...they occasionally come to House of Blues at Disney....they havent released an album in a few years, so there due....Its not really swing, like Cherry Poppin Daddies or Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, its more of a jazz/blue grass hybrid....I do love the energy though...
Music. It's what keeps us together. Except country, makes me wanna kick the shit out of the nearest person to me. I rather listen to that dam asian kid off american idol. Anyway, Music, Breathe it, live it, hear it, love it.
