Just took a 1st look, Jesus Christ those were rookies he was facing. Yankees need to get a good look on his condition.
...the Yanx are in a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. They can't make him have surgery but even if he does, there's no guarantee he'll ever be the same although the procedure has better odds than it did a few years ago. ...and if he does have surgery, he's lost for all of next year...if he doesn't have surgery and his UCL goes out next year, he'll be lost for even longer. ...but I have to think that the Yanx and Tanaka have made the right decisions so far. It was only a 10% tear to begin with and the fact that he's so young and will likely heal better and faster than someone older, and the fact that he'll have several months to heal and rehab...I like his chances.
I also think the Yankees made the right decision. & I believe he'll be fine in 2015. His last performance IMO was just a bad outing & I'm not reading to much into it.
