I think Portland Gear probably remembers that logo and probably bit on the idea since they have a bigger following. However, the design is parody to begin with, so I don't see the big deal with it.
Agreed. I am friends with both these guys. Was a guest on a podcast with Evan a couple years ago before he moved to NOLA. Cool guy, but he is REALLY making this a bigger deal than I think it needs to be. The design was already out there anyway. Marcus at PG is a pretty squared away dude. He is doing too well to straight up steal somebody else’s work. He get’s bashed by a ton of people on twitter and instagram already for being from Hillsboro and claiming Portland. I think a lot of the hate is brought on by jealously. He is killing it right now. He also used TPFKATHCP’s kids as models for some gear, so maybe I’m biased.
...honestly, they are both rip-offs (in more ways than one)! The whole idea of parody is based on a rip-off. And I am never paying these outrageous rip-off prices for a screen printed t-shirt.
