Raptors are 7-1. This is going to be a tougher game than games against the Raptors in the past were. This could be a decent test of how good we are at this point.
I think you're right. By the numbers the Raps are the best team in the east and I don't think it's flukey. They're playing really well. Both teams have had at least a day of rest so neither will have fatigue to fall back on as an excuse. It's also worth noting that the Raps, being the up and coming team that they are, might be eyeing this as a statement game to prove to the rest of the league that they've arrived. I hope the Bulls show up to play.
James Johnson is playing some great ball. I believe the Bulls had a player with the same name, but he sucked. Sent from my Venue 8 Pro 5830 using Tapatalk
Derrick Rose exits with hammy injury Chicago Bulls point guard Derrick Rose left Thursday night's 100-93 win over the Toronto Raptors after injuring his left hamstring and did not return. The injury occurred with just less than two minutes left in the fourth quarter. Rose turned the ball over and fell to the floor before walking gingerly back to the bench. Re: Derrick Rose exits with hammy injury Rose will be out a while. More Hinrich. Why not play Moore a little?
Re: Derrick Rose exits with hammy injury Is there any official word on Rose's injury? Other thoughts: 1). James Johnson has really come around as that Poor Man's Lebron. That guy was a monster. 2). Yep. Jimmy's getting paid. 3). Does Thibs have a minutes problem or do we have a bench problem? It's hard to say. I wasn't keeping track but I think that five man bench unit had more turnovers than shot attempts. It was pretty brutal. 4). I think the Raps are legit. Maybe not best-team-in-the-East legit, but their entire core is intact from last year and JJ and DeRozan I think have taken their games to a higher plateau (not counting this game for Derozan's sake).
K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop Rose: "I don't think it's that serious." Said he will ice it tomorrow. Hasn't ruled out practicing. Guessing Bulls will.
Re: Derrick Rose exits with hammy injury K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop Rose said its "cramps" in his hamstring after "overstepping" and calls injury "minor. K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop Rose walking with no wrap, in good spirits. K.C. Johnson @KCJHoop Bulls are 5-0 on the road for first time since 1996-97.
Rose hurts hamstring, Bulls beat Raptors 100-93 Derrick Rose was in Chicago's starting lineup for the second straight game. He finished it on the bench, nursing another leg injury. Pau Gasol had a season-high 27 points and 11 rebounds, Rose scored 20 points before leaving with a sore left hamstring, and the Bulls beat the Toronto Raptors 100-93 on Thursday night.
