So that's the Celtics now, huh? Not quite as bad as the Rick Fox era Celtics but with about as much name recognition.
That line up doesn't inspire fear. Wanna see Kelly Olynyk tho. I think he's a dark horse ROY candidate.
Psycho T and Val were the only highlights on the team. Demar, what the hell? What happened to the preseaso magic? Gay takes the stupidest shots i've ever seen. Going to be a long season indeed unless Ujiri makes a decision to go for the playoffs or for the lottery. This current team is the definition of 9th place
Very frustrating to watch the starters freeze out Valanciunas all game. He had to create his own shots. Guy gets deep post position--get him the ball. Still getting some rookie fouls called on him. He needs to establish himself early this season to get the respect of the officials.
Rudy Gay, Raptors spoil Brad Stevens' debut with Celtics Brad Stevens saw plenty of positives in his first game as head coach of the Boston Celtics. Rebounding wasn't one of them. Rudy Gay had 19 points and eight rebounds, Amir Johnson and DeMar DeRozan each scored 13 points and the Toronto Raptors snapped a three-game losing streak in home openers by beating the Celtics 93-87 on Wednesday night.
I don't want to create a new thread because this team is pretty bad. However, that game had no positives (except DD maybe), Gay was sooo bad, that vision correction thing clearly had no effect. Val had very little opportunities. They will end up beating teams like the Celtics and losing to teams around our level or better. 35 wins baby!
