The Sioux Falls Skyforce defeated the Canton Charge 105-98 in Game 3 of its first-round series Monday night at the Sanford Pentagon. Sioux Falls and Canton battled for much of the game until a 35-point fourth quarter sealed a Skyforce victory and a trip to the NBA Development League Semifinals. After a defensive showdown on Saturday, Sioux Falls found an offensive rhythm in the deciding game of the series. Sioux Falls shot 50.7 percent from the field and outscored Canton by 15 points in the fourth quarter en route to the first 100-point performance of the series for either team. Sioux Falls shot 69.2 percent from the field during the fourth quarter including shooting 4-of-6 from downtown. Sioux Falls (2-1) was led by Tre Kelley with a game-high 26 points. Five other Skyforce performers ended the night in double figures as DeAndre Liggins scored 19, Anthony Mason Jr. scored 16, Craig Smith chipped in 12 points, Henry Walker ended with 11 and Alex Oriahki finished with 10. Mason and Oriakhi both achieved their respective double figures off the bench. All five starters for Canton (1-2) scored in double figures as guards Antoine Aguido and Will Cherry both scored 21 points. Cherry dished out a game-high 12 assists, and Arinze Onauku posted the game's only other double-double with a 12-point, 14-rebound performance. Sioux Falls advances to face the Fort Wayne Mad Ants in the semifinals. The series begins Thursday night at 7 p.m. at the Sanford Pentagon.
