So we’re clearly playing like a playoff team even if we don’t make it

Reminds me of when Phoenix went 8-0 in Bubble. They didn’t make trades or a signing. They just improved from within like we are doing now. We’ve won 15 of our last 21 games. Who is most responsible? And why?

One more thing, when we were 13-28, I said our goal should be 41-41 and I got trashed for it. Not because we should be tanking but because it was impossible to do it. The person said we’d have to play like the best team in the league for it to happen. Well, call it what you will, we are clearly capable of going 13-7 the rest of the way. My prediction is that, 41-41 and we miss the playin. If you want to get crazy though, I think 16-4 could get us the 6 seed. After the top 5 West teams, there are a lot of teams that could take a nose dive. 44-38 gives us the winning percentage that would currently put us in 6th. Go Blazers.

You also realize we're not facing cupcakes like this for most of the season right? Because again we are better than these garbage teams, but not good enough to even be in 10th.

    Purgatory. You're celebrating purgatory.

And not even like "good" purgatory like with Dame. This is secondary purgatory.

It's embarrassing watching people cheer secondary purgatory.

The only people to celebrate are Scoot, Camara, and deni. The rest can go. They don't offer anything for a championship caliber roster.

Stop celebrating secondary purgatory until the organization actually fucking tries.

The win streak (both this stretch and the last one) got people thinking were gonna be good in a year. We have too many shitty players (ant, ayton, Grant, and everyone else that wasn't named earlier) with no trade value.

    We. Are. Fucked.

The team changed. This team without a single adjustment will be in the running for a Top 6 seed next year. I celebrating the progression. Without some miracle deal, we’ve become a very good basketball team. You undersell Shaedon. You obviously don’t watch the games. So why moderate here? As for having some games left against contenders (I count 4), we also have more games against teams like Washington and Toronto. I should call you. You’re looking at this all wrong and missing out on the best basketball we’ve played since 1999-00.

Great team effort, and gotta give Chauncey credit for finally instilling defense. Still no star tho. Shaedon? Can't win in the playoffs without one or two of those. Purgatory risk. Can Cronin actually wheel and deal his way to a contender? Haven't had that since Trader Bob.

Crazy mid season turnaround. First 41 games, the team won 13 games. So far in the 2nd half of the season the team has won 15 games with 20 games to go.

We’re right there in line behind 28 other teams every year. If the goal is only ever a championship and not a good fun time had by all, we will always be fucked except by pure fucking luck.

One thing I’ve learned from the past few years is that you gotta enjoy the wins where you get them.

Purgatory has been so, so over used that it's become just so fucking annoying to see "fans" use it when they have a meh team.

Mediocrity in the NBA is a bad place to be when most of your team is in their prime. Slightly below midddle of the pack, when you have one of the younger roster, is a lot different, imo. But it's fun to just yell out the same talking points, not watch, bitch and moan about what you don't watch, lather rinse repeat.

Are we or are we not in purgatory? Big picture?

No one needs to watch. It's been thos way for 4 years. It's not even an opinion, it's an objective fact.

I'm glad I've spared my life from the monstrosity of this team. Until they prove to be better, they are a waste of time. But I'll post about it because I can.

We are not in purgatory. Quite the opposite. We’ve improved drastically throughout the season without a major roster change. Got better by learning and playing better. We are young and trending up. 13-28 in first half of season. 15-7 in the second half. At this rate, we go about 28-13 in the first half of next season. Even without a prized lotto pick. That’s like the opposite of purgatory. Purgatory would be Phoenix or Clippers or even Hawks. They all have a better record than us but they are trending down. Understand? If you really don’t want to support the team, then would you please step down as moderator of the team’s official message board? I called you recently to discuss this privately but you didn’t answer.

I don't get this. Why can't Stren have a differing opinion than you and be a mod?

Please look at the combined records of the teams we’ve beat in the second half. If you want just look at the records period

    we are absolutely in purgatory

When Deni started making shots we started winning...early on he couldn't shoot. Also the whole team has started making free throws which we sucked at early in the season. Toumani has always been solid. Deni improved most I think.

win or lose though I enjoy watching them play now much more than early in the season and that's why I tune in, not because of how far they get in the playoffs but that they get in the playoffs or at least try to. Purgatory to me is an apathetic paycheck team that doesn't bother and wants a longer off season.

I’ll explain. He posts opinions on players he isn’t watching play. He says the same thing over and over. He says he doesn’t want to support the organization but continues to work for the organization. He definitely posts to get under people’s skin and that’s unbecoming of a mod. If he wasn’t a mod, I’d put him on ignore and never respond to him again. We should have that option. He should step down.

He's primarily a shooter with the rare ability to create his own shot. That he now can play off the ball more often while Deni creates the initial chaos for the D is helping him get better looks & is a much better fit for his skills rather then being the primary focus of the D.

I voted Deni as he's helped the team dynamic in a bunch of ways. His addition was like drawing the right card for an inside straight & now the pieces fit. Along with the playmaking he's a versatile defender 2-5, but other guys have elevated their play as well. Also, kudos to the coaches and Joe for overseeing this... I think this is real

That’s cool. Mine is a team not good enough to compete and not bad enough to have an opportunity to get drastically better in the draft.

For me anyway, purgatory is capped out and too good to have a good shot at landing a difference maker in the draft while not having a shot at truly competing for a championship... like the entire post LMA Dame era. I am very intrigued about the potential of this team and have hopes their young talent will elevate them to contender status & more engaged then I've been in a long time. "We" are not in purgatory
