The 2015 NBA All-Star Weekend will be coming to New York and be co-hosted by the New York Knicks and Brooklyn Nets, sources told ESPN. The official announcement is expected to come at a news conference scheduled for Wednesday. The All-Star Game itself will be played Sunday, Feb. 15, 2015, at the newly-renovated Madison Square Garden. The Saturday night festivities, including the Slam Dunk Contest and the Three-Point Shootout, will take place at new Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The Knicks and Nets have been involved in a growing rivalry since the Nets moved to Brooklyn last year. During the offseason, members of both teams have sniped at each other through the media following the Nets' acquisitions of Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce. But the two organizations have worked together to secure the first All-Star Game in New York since 1998.
