He didn't have to go far for his most recent acquisition. On Wednesday morning, Popovich handed Elias "Larry" Ayuso a one-year guaranteed contract that will have the Puerto Rican shooting guard joining the NBA champions for the 2003-04 season. At the FIBA Tournament of the Americas, Ayuso is averaging 12.5 points per game, making 14-of-37 3-pointers. He also was involved in a postgame incident last week in which he went after a Mexican player outside Roberto Clemente Coliseum after a game.</div> Ayuso Was impressive today..Where he scored 16 points v Brazil I believe....He could help fill the gap left by Steve Kerr..
Spurs are still siging the overseas talent...and it's getting them somewhere....why don't other teams try it? IMO i think the Mavs should do the same....

Sounds like a good pick up! International players seem to only get better when given the chance to play with a good team! Spurs are really improving with this move almost imediately!
