He is a part of this team in so many ways. He will definitely be missed, but we all take pride in knowing that he will still be around and doing great things in our city and communities. It took a great deal of work and commitment from every single player, coach, and member of the Spurs family to make it to the top. If we want to take it to that level again next season, it will take even more effort due to the simple fact that every other team wants what we have...the NBA title. Not just in the playoffs, but every night we play we will be the target- no matter where we are. During the season after the first championship, I got injured and was not able to help defend that title the next year during the playoffs. So one of my concerns going into the summer playing with the U.S. Olympic team, will be to try to stay in top shape and healthy. I'm looking forward to those challenges as well. It's a great honor to be playing for USA Basketball. Thank you all for your tremendous support and help this year. Our fans are so much like our team- all heart! I appreciate it and know all my teammates do, too. We couldn't have done it without you. Thanks!</div>
tim duncan sounds so wise! i can't wait for this year when they defend their title, i want them to win again, but i know its gonna be harder than before but i think they can do it...timmy IS the best player in the league go spurs!!! 2003 nba champs!!!
