You care to give some reasons on why Manu deserves to be in the allstar game? I'm not necessarily disagreeing with you, but evidence is key my friend. Tim Duncan, no question.
manu is improving his game more than last year. and he was pretty good last year here his stats from this year: 2003-04 Statistics PPG 14.3 RPG 5.30 APG 4.5 EFF + 16.79 Ranks #5 in the NBA in Steals Per Game(2.17) Ranks #18 in the NBA in Minutes Played(813.0) Ranks #19 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goals Made(33.0) Ranks #19 in the NBA in Three-Point Field Goal Attempts(92.0) Ranks #19 in the NBA in Assists(108.0) Ranks #3 in the NBA in Steals(52.0) Ranks #11 in the NBA in Steals Per Turnover(1.16) Ranks #7 in the NBA in Steals Per 48 Minutes(3.07) it may be just because hes a starter but who cares hes a great player he shows no fear when driving to the basket against big defenders.
Tim Duncan is a lock of course not point giving reason why he should be there. As for Manu...If he was more consistant he would be a great shooting guard. He has proved he has the talent to score big.Rebound the ball and get assists. He just isn't consistant enough for my liking. He is still very young of course in terms of NBA years in the league. So in a few years he should be right up there with the other top shooting guards in this league.
Manu doesn't deserve to be in the allstar game. 14ppg 5rpg are not allstar numbers. Tim will be the only allstar.
I agree with Kid that TD will be the only one, but I think that with Manu's exciting game, he should be in the all-star game. Look at Kobe Bryant! He was picked in '98 even though he in no way had AllStar numbers. It was because of the excitement that he generated that he got picked.
