for what? I mean, what are you going to save the arm for? this team is garbage... there is nothing to look forward to...
Nothing is going to change in the second half. They're fielding a minor league lineup. Then you have this Arod disaster they're going to be dealing with as well.
Serious question: Do you think anyone would have ANY interest in CC if the Yankees tried to move him at the trade dead line? I think its possible but the Yankees would probably have to pick up a chunk of his salary.
Depending on how much salary the yanks pick up you can always find a team. Usually, the more money you pick up the better prospect or prospects you get back. With the team on the field now even if CC had a ntc I think he would waive it to go to a contender which the yanks certainly aren't now
In every facet of this game, we call baseball, the mighty have fallen. I may be in the minority on this one, but even if there were no injuries, this Yankee team would still be a .500 team at best. Reason: PITCHING..................it sucks.
...actually, no. The pitching is by far the strong suit of this team...and it's not even close. Team ERA is 3.73 which is 2nd in the AL...team BA is .243 which is 14 th in the AL. ...and considering they are already well over .500, I don't seen how adding Tex, Grandy, Jeter, and Cervelli would somehow make them worse than they are now.
OK, we're talking about mediocrity. Yes, the pitching is far better than the offense. But,,,,,,,,,,,,, I cannot watch Hughes anymore, watching a declining CC is sad, Phelps....no consistency, Pettitte, his gray beard tells me he's my age (retired), Kuroda, who would have thought to be the best of this lot!!!? well over .500? 7 games! by season's end where do you think this team finishes? out of the running.
...again, no, there's nothing "mediocre" about the pitching...it is VERY close to being the very best ERA in the AL. ...and as far as Kuroda, he's not exactly a surprise...he was also the best pitcher on the team last year too.
