Apparently, Wyc Grousbeck and Danny Ainge are going to make an announcement at 3:00 pm ET. I'm worried. Will this be saying Doc will get an extension? Will this be saying Doc will not coach next year (hopefully, but I doubt it)? Or will this be another meaningless arena addition for marketing purposes only? Whatever it is, I am definitely interested in what it is. PLEASE, if there is a God, PLEASE have it be a "Doc Rivers will not be back next season" announcement.
It would look bad to talk about Doc at all.Ainge just said they'd look at contracts after the season. Any annoucement regarding Doc would undermine Ainge IMO.I doubt Ainge is gone, they'll give him at least 1 more year IMO.especially with all the injuries this year.

Wow, just friggen wow. This was the most overhyped media "announcement" that I have ever heard. Here's "big announcement:" http://www.nba.com/celtics/partners/press032807-weei.html
lol....that was overhyped. As I was reading this thread, I was expecting the next post to be "DOC GOT FIRED!!!!!!" Turns out to be this weak stuff...
Lol it is big for the TV/Radio stations tuning in on this. TV Stations have to pick which games they air before each season, for a new station to start airing really affects the company's schedule and stuff. Especially if the Celtics are taking a 3 hour slot each night.
Folks, that news is going to alter the course of the Celtics' franchise... HUGE news!Anyway, I read this thread before you guys posted the announcement (bored in class), and I don't see why anyone would think that they were going to hold a press conference to announce that Doc was not going to return as the coach next year, aside from wishful thinking of course. That would just be a ridiculous move by Ainge to publicly say he won't be back, especially since the season is not over yet and amidst all the accusations that Doc is purposely tanking.

Charlotte did it with Bickerstaff. Also, for everyone that says Doc is throwing these games, watch the past 2.
Great game by both teams.Iggy with another 20+ pt and 10+ assist night. Even though he struggled with shooting and free throws.Kyle Korver had a great 26 point game. He was owning Allan Ray.Gerald Green had some great moves to escape the defense. Only put up 12 points.Al Jeff was good as always. Lacked on the boards a little in the second half.EDIT: Oops, I meant to put this in tonights game thread. My bad
