Brett Gardner: the man is like a cock roach, the minute you think he's been snuffed, he comes back huge, Saved Robertsons nasty efforts and preserved a win for the Yankees. Gardner had been benched and replaced but last night he sacked up. Need to see others on this team do the same. We all know who they are. Like to see a good game by Sevey with Judge going yard this evening.
One game at a time, and down to a precious few. All for one home game. Tonight Luis Severino takes the mound against the pesky Tampa Bay Rays. The masterminds behind this team feel Seve’s performance will determine if he pitches the wild card game. The players need to focus on tonight’s game. Let’s hope there is urgency in their offense. Last night it was the defense & timely hitting. A repeat would be a good thing.

Jeter did a lot of cool things during his career but with me this one went Top of the Pops. Final AB, home game, and against Baltimore. Jeter was the ultimate "step up" man.
OT Ron if you are around I need to know if you can Freeze Bacon. I made Pasta Carbonara last night and have about 8 pieces leftover.
I freeze bacon all the time. It's been said by many a Chef, "Don't freeze Ham" due to its water content. I freeze Ham all the time-BUT- it's a smoked Ham, that has NOT been injected with water, so it's ok. I'm not sure if I ever said, I worked as a Cook and Mgr., in several restaurants- b/t the ages of 15-21, in the **Restaurant Industry, (prior to a Baptism in Aerospace), - **a very long story i.e. (War and Peace never ending Manifesto) for another day... Bacon's OK to Freeze....
^^^^.... X-2 ^^^^.... RE2PECT, and TURN 2 I got such a thrill out of watching that video, I spent the entire morning watching YouTube Videos of Jeter i.e. Mr with a Capital M-R- RE2PECT what a thrill and rush, a treat for the senses....
My pleasure, advice is Free of Charge for Ya', always Lil', BUT- I will never say NO to a special delivery/package of Pasta Carbonara, Calzones or any other dish you make for that matter. Your Hubby is a very Lucky Man, the way you cook, I bet you've put some weight on him, eh??? OT- When I met Kim, I weighed in at 165 lbs, (6'-1"). 6 yrs, 3 Sons and 45-Lbs later I had high cholestrol, high blood pressure and had Diabetes rear and roar its ugly head. So what did I do, go on a diet?? Nooooooo, oh nooooo I gained another 45 lbs and wound up comatose in the Hospital in Perry Ga. Lord did I ever eat once we hit the South, southern home cooked food, and Cajun food (2 yrs after Ga) were literally TO DIE FOR....I damn near did just that.... but reason prevailed..... "I reserve the right to get smart at any time in the program"...
I just watched (on SNLA) A One hour review/ documentary of the 1988 NLCS. Boy did I lose a shitload of money and my Ass-2 on that NLCS. I bet with anybody who would take my money, the Mets were 10 and 1 vs the Bums throughout the 1988 season. 10 + 1...~!!!~ the Mets owned the Bums in 1988, until that fatal NLCS. I just knew; there was No way the Bums were going to beat the Mutts in that seven game series. Boy was I ever wrong and my wallet paid for it. Cone was 20 and 3 with a 2.22 ERA Hershiser was 23 and 8 with a 2.26 ERA 1988 was the year of the bulldog Orel Hershiser. His streak of 59 consecutive scoreless innings, was a thing of beauty. I have never been a Bums Fan-BUT- I must admit- Hershiser had one incredible year. I did watch t/Bulldog through that streak- Who Didn't....??? A phenomenal season for Hershiser, a phenomenal season for any Pitcher...!!! Hershiser is the only player to receive the Cy Young Award, the Championship Series MVP Award, and the World Series MVP Award in the same season. Game on McCutchen with a single
