    Zombie #1 Pick baby!

Congrats, Blazers! As long as the Celts or Grizzlies didn't get it, I'm happy. But Portland is lookin serious! They're gonna be a beast in 3-4 years.

    Who would want Marbury?

Yall would be better of keeping Marbury and releasing Francis. I thought Steph played well last year. Not only that, but no one would want him at this point.

    Eddy Curry

I sure hope Curry is in shape. I always thought he'd be a beast in the league if he played to his potential. If your sources are accurate, MrJ, hopefully Curry can stay out of foul trouble and give the Knicks 17/9/2 a night.

    Jeffries to New York

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting shapecity:</div><div class="quote_post">Terrible contract offer from the Knicks, Jeffries is worth half that at most. If I'm the Wizards I'd definitely let him go for $30M.</div> Bingo. Knicks are nutty. Wiz would be foolish to match. 6 mill a year for a guy...

Now That Summer League Is Over

He'll do fine. He brought exactly what I figured--hustle, rebounding and defense. His ballhandling was also a lot better than what I thought. If he gets 20-25 minutes per, he'll get around 6 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 bpg and a lot of activity on both ends of the floor.

Balkman's Game Says More Than His Name

I think Balkman will do fine. He does address a few Knick needs--energy, rebounding, defense and hustle. It's not like this was some lottery pick. It was in the high 20s. He'll be someone NY can depend upon night in and night out. They don't have too many players like that, if any.

Harrington Sweepstakes Down to Three Teams

Hoopsworld isn't the most credible source, MrJ. But if the words came out of Harrington's mouth, well, I suppose it has to be somewhat legit unless they twisted his words. I don't see Harrington in New York. I still think GS is the most likely destinantion. Indiana seems to be hot on the trail...

Marbury Always Wanted Isiah As His Coach

Isaiah will be good for Marbury. Thomas employs a wide-open, versatile style of play and thats what Marbury wants. This is THE year for Marbury to prove himself as worthy of wearing a Knicks uniform.

    Pryzbilla Re-signs with Portland

Another stellar move by the Blazers. They're shoring up their frontcourt and now can use Randolph as trade bait, hopefully for a legit NBA point guard. Surely they can't go into this season with Dickau as the starter?

    Marbury and Francis should stay!

Francis would be ideal off the bench. That way he can control the pace of the offense and be the primary scorer. However, I don't think playing Marbury and Francis together will be very effective.

Robinson Contrite About Mistake, New Deal is Two Years

I know Robinson, even at his age, could still help out a lot of NBA clubs. My Rockets are one of them

Now That I've Thought It Over

Balkman will definitely help the Knicks. He does what the current Knicks are allergic to: defend, rebound and scramble on every possession. Williams didnt make sense to me since the Knicks have so many guards who need the ball in order to be successful: Francis, Marbury, Robinson and Crawford...

Isiah: I Wouldn't Trade These Knicks

<div class="quote_poster">Quoting MrJ:</div><div class="quote_post">He said he's trying to get some consistency. Two years ago he got 22 new players. Last year he brought in 19 new players. I think it's actually smart he's standing pat. Let's get some consistency going. He's also saying...

$100 Million in Losses Projected for Next 3 Years

Now I've been hearing he's more than willing to sell the team... it's amazing the turnaround this team has seen in just 5 years...in 2001 they were challenging the Lakers for Western Conference supremacy, and now they're cellar-dwellars...

    Blazers Paving Road To Oden

Man, Portland is a MESS...that team is at least 3-4 years away from even sniffing the playoffs...
