I think he could if he wanted to, but I'm guessing Steve is going to spend a lot of time with his family rather than getting into coaching any time soon.
I'm not sure, though I don't think the Blazers have any players they could extend qualifying offers to. Teams can sign free agents starting July 8th or 9th (I can't remember exactly)
I don't think they traded Nic because he plays for the French National Team. Last year was the first time that it really had an adverse effect on his NBA performance. I just think that after 7 seasons, it was time to try something else.
I'm sure that after 9 seasons, LaMarcus is well aware of the disdain we have around here for the Lakers. If you're going to go, might as well make the full heel turn into villain.
I think he'd consider staying, but I think the bigger issue would be whether the Blazers would pay him what he'll want to be paid. Nic is still just 26 and still has another 4-year contract in him, and I'm guessing he's not going to have any shortage of suitors. Some would say that Blazers fans...
I saw that as well. If the Pistons offered the No. 8 pick, obviously the Blazers feel like Vonleh is better than whoever they could get at that range, though that's just a guess.
