I just don't get all the comparisons of losing a friend or a beloved pet, to watching basketball.
Regardless, why would you want the season to be over? I mean, if the Blazers had gotten swept, or had lost in 5 games, would you really feel better and think "Man, I'm glad that's over." ?
I'm sorry, but that sounds like a total load of crap to me. If you "absolutely love the Blazers", why would you want the season to end? Are you really that eager for baseball season or something? Any true Blazer fan (or true fan of any team) never wants the ride to end. Sounds like a bandwagon...
I guess you're a better person than me then
I don't know, I've always rooted against Phil Jackson-coached teams, mostly because of how cocky he is. For me, it'd kinda be like the Blazers hiring Joey Crawford as the new fan ambassador...you know, it just wouldn't feel right.
So you're suggesting that the Hawks are anywhere near as good as the Suns and Lakers? :biglaugh: I think any team in the West could easily beat the 3-8 seeds from the East in a series.
This.
I've hated that douche for so long now, what with his "mind games" he plays constantly, to faking an injury to avoid having to watch his team suffer another defeat in Portland...no, keep him as far away as possible from the Blazers.
I don't get the hate for Webster. He's not pulling a "Rudy pout-job"; he is just reaching his limitations since he's simply just a role player, nothing more.
Seems like I heard that BRoy had a 25 minute ceiling...but I wonder how long that will last if he is lighting it up tonight. Agree that Richardson had to work a lot more, so who knows, they may just use him as a decoy a lot and let Richardson get winded trying to keep up.
It's Bayless!

Good move IMO, in that they can work BRoy back into game shape so he can start game 6.
So I guess the Blazer organization "must not understand the game of basketball" then. :ohno:

Get off your high horse, already.
Even if we could get Paul (no chance IMO), would we really want another guy with injury issues? I'd like to aim for a guy who maybe isn't as good of a player as Paul stastically speaking, but is a solid 75-80 game a year guy. We need more Ironmen and less Frail Blazers...

Bring Roy in about halfway through the 1st quarter, earlier if things start heading south early. Definitely start Roy in game 6 though...
Agree on all points. With Roy in the lineup, the Suns really have to pay attention to him, regardless of whether he's 100% or not. I really think that they were expecting to coast to a 5 game series win after games 2 and 3. But now that Roy is back, they've got to be having serious doubts now. I...
