You are 100% right on this account IMO, the ducks defense would have been higher ranking but they played 30% more plays then most defenses and that adds up the total yardage quickly.

What are are peoples thoughts on Huff, he had a rough year with what seemed like multiple drops in every game.

I agree with everything here and he didn't even mention receiver, we brought in some studs last year, BJ Kelly, Blackmon for example who didn't even touch the field.
