    In Praise of Kris Murray

My little things king had a rough start to the year, but he really came along the 2nd half of the year after the back injury. His combo of selfless play and size/speed/strength combo on D is going to keep him in the league for a while. The shot showed a little life post all-star too.

    2026 NBA Draft

This class has been interesting for me in that statistically it looks like one the best drafts in a while...but I have very few guys that I'm complete in on. Caleb Wilson and Keaton Wagler are my two "my guys" up top with Darryn Peterson just outside that top tier for me since he both didn't...

    2026 NBA Draft

Yeah the defense was an adventure the couple full games I've watched of Karim, but he definitely looks like a lottery talent from a skill/creativity/ball skills at his size standpoint....pretty rare combo. Big hand's...the footwork and seemingly advanced ability to use his body to create...

    2026 NBA Draft

Yaxel Lendeborg, Morez Johnson and Cameron Carr is probably my short list of guys right now. Yaxel is old, but not a late brakeout guy which are the real ones you need to worry about. I don't think he has any star equity, but could he be a bigger PJ Washington with some sprinklings of Aaron...

    Game Thread GAME #63 - BLAZERS @ GRIZZLIES - MARCH 4, 2026 - WEDNESDAY - 5:00 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION

When I'm sad about Scoot I watch this.... ....I've been watching this quite a bit more lately. This is the darkest timeline for Scoot's career so far, but he still gives me fleeting reasons to think there's still light at the end of this very long, dark tunnel.

    The Defense

It's a lot of things. - Poor defensive rebounding (27th) - Lead the league in turnovers - We take a lot of unassisted shots at the rim which if missed lead to transition - We foul a good bit (21st) We are a pretty poor switching team - Part of it is our reluctance to switch with Toumani to...

    How Many Wins?

Getting healthy at the right time and have the softest post All-Star schedule in the NBA by a good margin. I could see them getting 45-46 with good health.

    2 way contracts

If I had to predict.... Caleb stays on his 2-way unless Blake gets hurt again. If that happens, you waive Blake and convert Caleb. Think Sidy gets converted and Rupert is waived. Rupert is an ok shooter and a handsy defender, but fouls a decent bit since he's at a quickness or strength...

    Game Thread 2025-26 GAME #54 - BLAZERS VS 76ERS - FEBRUARY 9, 2026 - MONDAY - 7:00 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION

What a lovely viewing experience...mostly. Some untimely turnovers, a bad whistle and some favorable Philly bounces had me feeling the score should be flipped when they were down 53-43. Think they went on a 53-23 run after that point haha. Nice to see those fortunes change and the clearly...

    2026 NBA Draft

Morez Johnson Jr. is my favorite non-freshman in the draft right now. Reminds me a lot of Al Horford with a similar combination of skills and physical tools to be a positive impact player on both ends that you can play at both big spots.

    2026 NBA Draft

Random thoughts on this class after digging into it quite a bit the last few weeks. Darryn Peterson, Caleb Wilson and AJ Dybantsa are my clear top 3 guys. I'd say I'm the biggest fan of Peterson. Just an extremely polished 2-way guard that's looking better physically with each game. I'd have...

    Game Thread 2025-26 GAME #37 - BLAZERS VS JAZZ - JANUARY 5, 2026 - MONDAY - 7:00 PM - KUNP - BLAZERVISION

Another Kris Murray supporter here and after being down on him most of the year, it's been awesome to see the 180 he's taken. Really has turned it on defensively...been a terror the last month or so and has looked like clearly the best player on that end..... The balance on drives has looked...

EPM Check-In: This Year vs Last

Tab over to actual for this year's data without injured players ... Like I noted in the post. The expected data set is using their predictive model to estimate every players future contributions when healthy.

https://dunksandthrees.com/epm This year's, no. Historical data is behind one though. Just select actual as it defaults to its predictive data set.
