I don't disagree with that at all. He's not falling off a cliff like some players do. I think there's this perception that people saying he's falling short of his potential is saying he's not a good player even when we've been saying he's a good player who could/should be a better player. And...

If you don't know how useful it is to discuss it, why are you telling people not to discuss it? And, as several others have pointed out and you accepted, it's not universally seen as contradictory to his performance.
