Um ... like I said, it was brilliant to bring Deni back tonight so you could bring Scoot in off the bench and he'd have a chance to get a feel for the game before stepping out on the floor. Splitter is a genius.

And, even if the Blazers lose, it doesn't mean a heack of a lot. I think trying to get Scoot right should be the big priority at the moment.

I don't think this organization is doing Scoot any favors. The Blazers should win this game with or without Deni. Why play him here when this would be a perfect opportunity for Scoot to take a more pronounced role and maybe get a little bit more of him mojo back?

Scoot's shots not broken. It looks fundamentally as it should. He just doesn't seem to believe he can make open shots anymore and I'm at a loss as to what brought that on.

Except his 3-point shooting was bordering on excellent for two weeks and then fell off a cliff. He dropped 20 percentage points in like seven games, and he wasn't just taking one or two 3s per game when he was shooting better than 43%.

If it did, I think it would have manifested immediately upon his return, but he played well the first couple of weeks. I don't know if there was a game in there you could see was "poor." Since then, though, aside from the T-Wolves game, every game has been poor. Leads me to believe if there was...

Blake and Sidy are much more impactful than Scoot right now. It's not even close or arguable, and it's also inexplicable. The last eight games have been like he completely reverted to his rookie year in every way after playing very good in his each of his first four games coming off the injury...

Because he's tentative in everything he does. Something changed with him around that big loss to Denver. Either he doesn't believe in his preparation or he doesn't want to be here. There's no juice to his game. No explosion to anything he does anymore.

Ironically, until this recent drought, he shot the 3 better for his career than Shaedon. Even with this slump, Shaedon's only .003 better than Scoot. He shot 35% last year. He was 42.3% over his first four games this year and that included a game where he was 0-3. Then everything fell apart...

Scoot's like a dead battery. There's no energy there. Nothing done with conviction. He's getting burned by Reed Sheppard off the dribble and everyone else is forced to scramble to cover for his breakdown. This is a guy that either doesn't believe he can play at this level anymore or who just...
