Portland successfully hosted the MLS All-Star game with 20k plus fans and a large international flavor. Not saying it's the same thing but that's the same capacity for Moda if not more.

Only explanation is that the NBA does indeed NOT care about Portland as a market. Its not like any other league has put on a highly successful all star game in the city...

Its not different because the lease on Moda is almost up and if someone buys the team with an intent to move (Clay Bennet lol), the team will move. You will be surprised just how quickly a stadium will be deemed unusable for whatever reasons. Lets also not pretend like the association actually...

I dont mean specifically on the court, but the specific state this franchise finds itself in? A team with dwindling hope on the court and a murky future at best with no signs of any trade due to the state of the roster? Add in that Portland isnt a "destination" franchise so cant even get excited...

Maybe one day the team will actually put that "Portland" they put on the shorts on the jersey. One of the best looks in team history that they refuse to use. We have had plenty of rip city jerseys.
