Pat Connaughton is way down the list of decent reasons to follow the Hornets. Based on the way they've come together, I expect them to be top-6 in the East by the time the playoffs come around, and a real threat to make noise in the post-season.

Right now, he's not who he had been. Playing him these next 7 games likely won't impact anything positively. Even if we go o-fer the next 7, having the increased possibility of a fully healthy Deni for the final 26 games would be worth the short-term sacrifice of not having him in the lineup...

I think he needs to just take the next 3 weeks off, get right (as much as possible), and come back after the all-star break refreshed and ready for the playoff push.
