Once this team grows a bit the passing will be interesting. Scoot is obviously decent. Sharpe can run the point at times and has decent vision. Demi clearly is capable, and Cling-Kon showed some nice vision last year. I was also glad to hear several players say how smart they thought Clingon...
The only way it makes sense to me is they brought in Jonas to protect Sarr, and/or they want Sarr at the 4, and plan to get a younger big to go at the 5 down the road.
I just got back from a long vacation, so maybe this has been covered. But why does Washington do this? At first the narrative was that they wanted to lose over the next two years to get better draft picks and Deni would want to win. But then they sign Jonas Valanciunas??? Deni seems close...
As long as they are 6'6" or taller then I'm okay with it. I don't see any minutes for Dillingham and Sheppard won't drop (I would take him if he did though).
I don't completely agree with this. Ant is very athletic and has shown the ability to make clutch shots. Last year he shot above 38% on threes at almost 9 attempts/game. A team looking for outside shooting from a player with some ability to distribute and not be totally embarrassing on...
This still seems like BPA for 7 and 14. For some reason I feel like both picks will be no brainers when they see who is left on the board. I just really hope it is a big wing and a 4/5 or something like that. Really don't want any more small guards or small wings.
Yeah, I mention Minne and OKC in the title. My point was that three of the top teams are at least potentially running very tall PFs beside more traditional centers. It is likely Blazers at some point will have to get past one or two of those teams. Minne may time out before Blazers get there...
I would vote for D, but with a shot that isn't broken, so you can at least hope. The problem is that Portland needs more 3pt shooting, so ... Hopefully a healthy Sharpe, Ant and improved Scoot can bring those 3pt numbers up next year on their own.
With multiple teams out west having height at the 4 and 5, and the Spurs seeming like they want Wemby at 4 and then may add a 5, Do Blazers build more traditionally, or should they be on the look for two 7+ footers? They seem a long way from that right now, but there are certainly some tall...
I would argue that he would be a great backup swing guard that likely wouldn't need a starting spot. I do agree there is a problem with point guards on the team and I think one of Scoot or Simons needs to be traded at some point. Unfortunately it's too soon to make that call. Right now I like...
I'm down with taking Castle if he is available. I think he has nice upside and a high floor. I really want a tall/long wing, PF or center, but I don't think any will be available as best available when we pick.
I can't help but wonder if this is the year to try and trade for the first pick. I could live with Holland or Clingan, but not excited about either. Even though he is a project, I love the idea of Sarr at 4 next to Ayton. It seems like this would be one of the easiest years to move up to 1...
