I believe that he’s referring to “yang” being a homonym of “goat” in Chinese. 羊 (yang) is goat or sheep in Chinese. But Hansen's surname is the 杨 character, which is also pronounced "yang", though the intonation may be different (not sure, since I'm not a Mandarin speaker)
