    Who are the "Untouchables"?

I think his age and upside, Clingan is the only player it doesn't make sense to trade. I'd trade pretty much anyone else.

Dundon and ownership group release 1st public statememt

the privately funded arena district was supposed to break ground in december. looks like it might be delayed for some reason, there's been no news on it. oddly enough the hurricanes released a bunch of arena reno update info 'today'--but that was a publicly-funded thing.

Dundon and ownership group release 1st public statememt

I like the intensity, and I'm not particularly wedded to status quo in the Blazers org per se, even though I'm sure the folks who work in the organization are good, nice people. He seems like a total asshole, and he doesn't seem to care what Portlanders think of him. I'm not sure he...

OT Adam Silver Warns Teams About Tanking, Says NBA Will Closely Monitor Their Play

agree. boiled down this is about creating more meaningful games that leads to more media dollars, ticket sales, etc. they refuse to have the schedule conversation--since the game is way faster than it used to be guys get hurt way more and hardly even practice with their teams. when their...

    New owner... Tom Dundon?

my understanding is the votes happen tomorrow, today is all the meetings and presentations. based on charlotte and phx ownership transitions, I had assumed that portland would have a dundon presser in pdx tomorrow; but it sounds like highkin is flying out to nyc? is it because dundon hasn't...

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

smart for brooke to ask the questions of silver: she reps the team and nba, and comes across as an oregon taxpayer. I certainly feel buttered up, don't you?

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

I have to assume there is a max # of touring concerts that would patronize the Moda if the Blazers left. There are only so many touring arena shows at a given time.

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

https://www.opb.org/article/2026/03/12/moda-center-renovation-public-financing-trail-blazers/ "The pressure to rely heavily on public investment came on strong. Karl Lisle, the city’s head of the spectator venues, which includes Moda Center, said in a Jan. 23 chat message to colleagues in the...

    Yang progress

the good news is that there are still pieces of steven adams inside yang hansen's arm every time he takes the court. so in a way, he's a blazer.

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

I’m more interested in dundon laying out some sort of private commitment towards developing the area as part of the ownership group’s end. It will be a multi-month process.

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

public discourse is always part of taxpayer-related stuff like this. It's a lot of money! I'd buckle up, the negotiation of the private partnership piece will get even 'crazier', if you think what just happened was 'hysteria.'

Trail Blazers gear up for legislative ask that would ‘guarantee’ team’s future in Portland

Dudley is walking a fine line here. He has to proactively communicate that he’s fiscally conservative and tough in these negotiations to the rest of the state because he’s, you know, an actual retired blazers basketball player. Probably why he came out first with his commentary before all the...

Sidy Cissoko converted to a standard NBA contract.

good on the blazers for working quickly to get him on board last season. the rupert failure smarts a lot less with sidy coming on board. hopefully he can improve his rebounding. now--who will they grab on a 2way?
