Some folks are harping on the lack of playmaking and assists but it's clear he's had to change his role now that Deni has assumed the bulk of the point guard duties.
There's been a heavy over reliance on him for a while. He's not a spring chicken so doing that has its problems.
I think we need to free Scoot. I have no doubt that if we put more responsibility on him he'd be much better.
You didn't negate the statement. Good draft picks were responsible for acquiring Deni. Whether you use them or trade them, they are among the most valuable assets for a rebuilding team. If we didn't ever make a deal to acquire those picks, we would have never had a shot at acquiring Deni.
No stakes. Nobody to have to share the ball with. No organization. No team plan. I'm happy for him but until he's playing on a competitive team it doesn't mean much yet.
