    Merged: Lakers vs. Celtics

Re: Will Kobe really win Finals MVP even if the Celtics win tonight? Lebron maybe. Kobe? Doubt it.

Juwan Howard: Will we resign him? Do you think we should resign him?

I think the Blazers should re-sign him. He proved that he can work if he's needed.

    The Blazers beat Phoenix twice...

Yep. The Blazers swept the season series against the Spurs. They were still eliminated. Yep. The Blazers won 2 more games against the Suns than the Spurs did. They were still eliminated. Yep. The Blazers were better than the Spurs this year. They were still eliminated. Basically, the...

    Let's go after Tony Parker

Both. I wouldn't let Parker go for LMA. Especially since it seems that the Spurs are finally gonna be bringing Tiago Splitter over. When both are healthy, Parker and Ginobili can be a lethal backcourt and spread the floor, giving Duncan more room and less punishment in the paint. If the...

OT: What Is Pop Thinking By Sitting Blair?

Hey, even Popovich said before the season started "If we don't win this year, I should be fired." I'm starting to wonder if a coaching change is needed at this point. He should have been able to get more out of Jefferson, McDyess, Hill and Blair this year. The fact that all 4 have been...

    Larry Brown (again)

I honestly don't know why Larry Brown gets so much credit. If the Blazers were to fire Nate and hire Larry, he might improve the Blazers by a few games and a round or two farther into the playoffs, but he won't be there to stay. What happens if the Blazers do worse with him? He'll bail or...

Game 6: Blazers vs Suns Thread

You're high, right? NBA Darlings? San Antonio is one of the least popular teams in the league. They are a proven ratings killer unless they're playing a series against LA, Cleveland or Phoenix. The Spurs have been called many things. "Floppers, whiners, boring, old, dirty", etc. They've...

Too bad. I was really hoping for a Spurs/Blazers series.

Suns @ Trail Blazers - Game 4 - Game Thread

After a handful of playoff series against "my" beloved Spurs, Suns fans whining about the refs after a loss is just par for the course. They learned it from D'antoni.

Fear of re-injury or fear of losing

Excellent point. I'm just not sure if playing so soon on a recently surgically repaired wheel is the way to learn about overcoming adversity. With that said, good luck to Roy and the Blazers either way.

Fear of re-injury or fear of losing

With the way the Spurs are playing, they'd be a much tougher opponent for Portland than you think. Not that I see the Blazers getting past Phoenix. But a Blazers/Spurs 2nd round matchup would be awesome.

BTW, Who Else Are Ya Rooting For In The West/East?

Spurs first, Blazers second in the West. Couldn't give two shits about any team in the East but if I had to pick one, I'd go with Orlando. More importantly, any team except Boston or Cleveland.

Fear of re-injury or fear of losing

As much as I respect Roy for nutting up and playing, it begs the question: Is it really worth it this year? Do the Blazers really have a chance to get past the Spurs/Mavs, Lakers/Thunder, and Jazz/Nuggets? What if Roy re-injures that knee, only worse during a playoff run that may just be a...
