Yi's played very few minutes for the past couple games, Ryan gets like 6-7 min in the first half after Yi and is completely forgotten in the second half. Frank likes his 1 big 4 small a lot it seems.

There are a lot of team with undersized centers that the Nets could feature Lopez. Also Nets had some nice pick and roll with Lopez and Harris tonight.

well, Sheed play Center, though wouldn't surprise me that Yi start the game guarding him. Also Sheed gets less than 2 FT a game, but Yi does commit a lot of weak fouls. So I am guessing 2 at the most.

I don't think many people expect that B. Lopez be this good of a rebounder and a shot blocker before the season. He really surpassed pretty much everyone's expectation. I am really impressed by Lopez's ability to finish around the basket, some player just have a natural feel for it. I think it...

I wanted Yi to play in the post too before, but that's not realistic right now. Yi is terrible at finishing around the basket, he just lacks confidence in general. If he's going to get better, it will start with knocking down open shots more consistently, then he will have some confidence going...

you make a decent point, but why are people under the impression that Frank is somehow "forced" to start Yi and give him minutes?

Can't we like consolidate all the Yi hating/loving thread into one, and maybe make it sticky. It seems to come up after just about every single game.
