Projected Starters

Blazers: Raymond Felton, Wesley Matthews, Gerald Wallace, LaMarcus Aldridge, Marcus Camby

Jazz: Devin Harris, Raja Bell, C.J. Miles, Derrick Favors, Al Jefferson

There is an overwhelming topic of discussion here in Salt Lake City on sports talk radio that the Jazz need to go young and allow Gordon Hayward, Alec Burks, Enes Kanter, and Derrick Favors to gel and inherit starter minutes. Sounds like Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap could be on the trading block.

As there should be. No reason for that team not to go young.

I agree. (still part of that 5%)

Their young talent is just as good if not better than their older talent. (and their older talent is not old) Jefferson was not a good addition. Milsap just wants out.

As for Harris........Still not a bad talent, but certainly over rated by Blazers fans over the years. (myself included)

I'd love to get Millsap, maybe we could send Babbitt and Armon for some salary and float them two future 1st rounders? Or maybe one future pick and Elliot Williams?

Getting Millsap would harm our cap flexability, and maybe prevent us from even resigning one of our core guys. We can only afford so much with Felton, Batum, Wallace, Crawford and Oden being free agents this summer. So while I'd love to add Millsap to the team I'm not so sure this is feasible in the long-term.

So excited to have basketball back! I actually like the longer off-season, one of the cool things about the NFL is they DON'T play it 7 months of the year so you really develope a craving for it when it finally returns. 82 games is just too long of a season.

But the 2 pre-season games is sweet, it seems so much more important then other years where its a multi-game battle for the 15th roster spot, yawn.

So either Thomas or Nic again? I'd really like to see Nate give CJ a chance to start and see what happens.

I agree! I think Nate will start Thomas at C and keep LMA at PF. Obviously CJ will now get plenty of minutes tonight.

Hopefully someone will have an awesome stream setup like last time. (which was much appreciated, since I am on DirectTV).

7 guys warming up already!

Wow, really? I am predicting loss by double digits. No fault of the Blazers, but I think they will go younger tonight than last game

nope:Mike Barrett @Blazermb
"@sarahhechtNBA:Still the plan to keep starters to 20-25 min? LA included?" No. Nate told me starters will play more. Gotta ramp up.

Thomas is a charge-taking machine. So crafty.
