I almost did not watch, half expected to see a collection of walking wounded and scrubs

Did the scene from"Major League" come to anyone elses mind where they are reading the roster and saying "who the fuck are these guys?"

It's not that bad. The teams were:

Black: Felton-Wes-Nic-Wallace-Camby, with Nolan and Barron as a subs.
White: Armon-Elliot-Babbitt-Johnson, and a couple players whose numbers I don't know yet.

One player who stood out during the scrimmage was Elliot Williams. Having missed his entire rookie season due to knee surgery, he looks as if he hasn’t lost an inch on his well proclaimed 48-inch vertical leap. He was attacking the basket with a vengeance and smiling in the process.

He has the opportunity to be this years version of Blake Griffin. I’m not talking about him becoming the player Griffin is, what I mean is that Williams will still be considered a rookie and is eligible to win Rookie of the Year. Hope I cleared that up.

At 6-5, Williams’ versatility allows him to play the point and two-guard position. His jumper is not where it needs to be for him to fully be effective, but he’s improving. He stayed after practice to get some extra shots and his coach is noticing his efforts.

rice:
e.williams has not made a pass yet in prac. Nate off does have passing in it

That was ugly. Wow. Is Williams #9 for the white team? The video is really grainy on my phone.

LOL so many kick outs to the corner three. Maybe we could introduce a bit of ball movement this season?

As for Rice? I saw Williams pass for an assist

I really hope that Williams and or Smith can break out and have a strong season. We can only hope for the best at this point.

Cool, looks like Luke Babbit still sucks.

Dude is horrible. When I go back and look at his college highlights on Youtube it doesn't compute. Now he takes 12 foot jumpers and misses them by a foot.

Justin Bieber looked better in the Celeb game during all star week.

I don't think this is exactly the best venue for player evaluation. I doubt if Nate is even paying attention to whether or not the shots go in at this point.

one thing stood out to me, Ewill is lightening quick, if he can work on a consistent jumper this guy can be good
