With a one-game playoff on Oct. 2nd; Dent hit the 3 run HR that lives in infamy/history, defeating any hopes for Boston to see another W.S.

Billy Martin was fired as a result of the dugout fight, and ultimately paid a dear price for the skirmish on National TV.
