Is this an NBA record for scoring in the Playoffs? Or anytime? In the last 4 min of WCF Game 4 in the 2nd Q, Meyers scored 2 swish3s in 20 sec, and scored 11 points with 4 of 4 FG shooting in 4 min! That's a new record!

That powerful display of offense is remarkable--worth recognizing and repeating! Since the Jan 30 win over the Jazz after losing badly twice to them in Dec, I have posted in favor of relying on the demonstrated talent of Meyers to play a major role in optimizing wins for the Blazers. This game adds the exclamation mark!

This burst of scoring in these 4 min shows the potential that is ready and waiting to help win the Championship next season. Let's keep this achievement in mind and increasingly call on Meyers to help us reach the 2020 NBA Finals!

In the 2016 playoffs Curry scored 17 points in a 5 minute overtime against us.

In 1995 Reggie Miller scored 8 points in under 9 seconds.

So no, neither are a record. Nice try through.

He's off the team in a year and a half max. Just accept it.

Whatever it represents, I will take 2 swish3s and 6 points in 20 sec anytime and in every game!

Yeah, 6 points every 20 seconds is pretty good scoring efficiency.

I don't think it's very sustainable, though.

Especially since Meyers Leonard isn't very good.

How about Blazer record? Personal record?

Basketball-reference statistics show that the leading Blazer scoring in the 2019 Playoffs is Meyers, with 14 of 33 (42.4%) swish3s, 34 of 65 (52.3%) FG, and an eFG% of 63.1%. Is this a Blazer Playoff record?

Probably would help his case if he was a rotation player....he waived a towel too much to get those stats much weight in Blazer lore...if he played all playoffs like he did the last two games, you'd have a case

When riverman doesn't even help your case, you know you making shit up now. LOL.

Meyers led the Blazers in those 3 scoring categories, and did play well in the last 2 games. Next season let's play him at least 16 min in all of the games and rely on him for at least 16 points per game. Now that we have seen him score 25 points in 16 min against GSW in the Playoffs, I am persuaded that he can add the additional scoring sufficient for the 2020 NBA Championship.

This is what we’re relying on to get through summer? Sigh

You were only now persuaded? So all the threads you created about Leonard's greatness before that game were lies? Please say it isn't so, swish3.

Thanks Wizard Mentor. This video notes the important 1st half play although featuring the 4 min end of 1st half scoring burst and multiple times Meyers was open on the arc for passes from Dame, CJ, Seth, and Evan would make the comment even stronger! Next season, we can add plays for him and extend Meyers role to both halves and on to the Championship.

NBA TV replay now emphasizes the contrast in the 2nd half when our guards stopped passing to Meyers, who shot his first FGA with 2 min left in the 3rd Q. Instead of the missed shots and bad passes, and if fouls on Dray Green were called, Meyers could have scored 8 points more and kept us on the path to win. Dame, CJ, and Rodney should have been feeding the hot hand.to keep our 15 point lead alive. As Terry said, it helps when the ball goes in, and it was going in when Meyers was shooting!

Dray Green obviously fouled Dame on his OT drive, and Meyers before the ball was inbounded. In the replay, the refs no-calls against Dray decided the game as I see it. Dray has coerced the refs into making him seem much better than he is. It is so unfortunate that Dray hit that swish3 and our shots failed to fall. But we will be back next year!

Pascal Siakim had a great game in the NBA Finals Game 1 win that made the difference and got the TOR win. The 32 points on over 80% FGA shooting was a lot like the Meyers 30 points with 75% FGA shooting and shows how close we got to the win in WCF Game 4. That first half Meyers performance just needs to be kept alive with plays for Meyers in the 2nd half, and we can beat GSW. The remaining TOR-GSW games will be instructive to watch, as I think that TOR has a chance to win the series and is giving us good strategies for beating GSW next year.

He was a bench ass for the entire season and Stotts finally woke up.
