by my calculations we are already near 270 games and counting! Unreal

Oden - will miss 82 games
Pendy - will miss 82 games
E Will - will miss 82 games
Przy - guess at 15 games for now
Roy - lets say 10 for now

last yr's record could easily be broken, this is crazy

Since Pendy was weaved - I doubt he would count...

he should have been. he would have been on the roster for sure if not injured, can I count Oberto in his place as he was forced by "injury" to retire?

I believe the count is for the roster spots. If someone is waived/retire and his roster spot is taken - it does not count for the injury count.

Semantics aside, 41 missed player games beyond what we've already witnessed would be no great feat. I guess it just depends on how cruel the basketball gods really are.

It probably wouldn't count, but Pendy would have been on the roster otherwise, so official or not I'm counting it. Oberto wouldn't have been picked up if not for Pendy, and his condition was known beforehand, but I'm counting him because it only took five games to come to that, and he ended up retiring. Even Darius Miles got more playing time for Memphis.

I thought that last year was an anomaly... hopefully that encompasses this year and we can rid ourselves of this terrible luck after this season.

We just need to can our strength and conditioning coaches.

We should have included Miles during the years we paid him.

What is the record for 2 consecutive years? Can we break that?

Is there a trophy or do we win a cake? I'm sure we can win this thing.

If there currently is no award, let's lobby Cho to start one, since we'll be winning it ever year. It's not like Paul Allen will be paying for it to go outside of Portland, so maybe he'll fund the endowment. The winner could win a scholarship, like one quarter at medical school to learn something relevant to these medical problems, like maybe as a volunteer for colostomy interns.

Damn, that's harsh. Just because a guy gets a new hair style to try to improve his personal appearance is no reason to say he doesn't count.

Well, unless it looks like this:

Then, I agree.
