To many here the concerns will be the infield. 2B, SS, & 3B (assuming A-Rod is gone. So if the Yankees decide to go the FA route. Here IMO are the choices.....
2B = Asdrubel Cabrera. (29) Making 10M this season with Cleveland. A career 272 hitter, Can give you 15-20 HRs. Is a switch hitter & can also play SS.
3B = J.J. Hardy (32), GG, 260 career hitter. Good for 20-25 HRs & making 7M this season.
Jed Lowrie (31), Making 5.2M this season with Oakland. A switch hitter with some pop (15-20 HRs) & most importantly can play 2B, SS, & 3B
Hanley Ramirez (31) He would cost the Yankees the most. currently making 16M this year & will probably be looking for a Multi year contract (5 years +) at close to the 25M range. A 300 career hitter who can play both SS & 3B & can supply between 25-30 HRs per season.
Also at the hot corner (3B), Is Chase Headley (31) currently making 10.5M with the Padres. And finally The Giants Pablo Sandoval (28) making 8.2M this year & can also play 1B.
Something to think about.
