I know people fucking love Steph.Spoiler alert: Damian will not be named a starter. Book it.
Son of a bitch. Steph has twice the votes Dame does. Dame is now the better player, the numbers show it but Steph for some unknown reason is a two time MVP so it was to be expected.
We really should've come up with a way to stuff the ballots. Find some twitter account that has a ton of stans following it and have them retweet the shit out of the hashtag or something.
Those reddit dudes who ran the Gamestop stock up need something to do.
Voting for starters is 50% fan vote, 25% players, 25% media.
Dame needs to beat out Luka. Prolly won't get the fan vote, but might get the players'. Media is tossup with all the Luka stans out there who love everything Cuban.
My kids all work as they are employed and required to work to support their employers existence. NBA players are employees too and paid extremely well so If their employers and FANS want then to show up to work, the need to man up as others are doing.TBH, there shouldn't be an All-Star game this year.
Where is Blevins?
People probably don't know whether to look for him under the guards or the forwards.

If his employers gives him the option, great. No job is worth mine or my family's life or long-term health. Players should at least be allowed to opt-out if they do not feel comfortable in participating. Or do you want to tell Karl Anthony-Towns to his face that he should just suck it up, shut up, and show up?
There might be a bit of a difference between a food chain worker and an NBA superstar. One having to work might be more necessary to the survival of people during a pandemic than the other. I actually don't think sports should be being played at all. We've seen how many cases have popped up in pro sports in the last year and no one has bothered to contact trace to see how much spread it's caused in the community. So why take another risk, moving a bunch of guys from their team bubbles into one petri dish of players from all over for a game that means nothing. Not exactly the model of caution that the Orlando bubble was.If his employers gives him the option, great.
I just got back from Safeway and people were working because they were required to work.
I think because gas station attendants, grocery clerks, auto service centers, sporting goods stores are open to make it nice for pro athletes and others thus they should go to work out of respect and the entertainment value at this time. There might be a bit of a difference between a food chain worker and an NBA superstar. So, since the players are already taking on a more strenuous workload than they originally agreed to, had a shorter off season than they originally agreed to and will make less money than they originally agreed to... maybe just maybe they shouldn't have to play in an all-star game that they haven't even agreed to... see link below (that's right, these guys were under the impression that during this unprecedentedly compact season they would get a one week break in the middle).

Why should they be put on a pedestal just because they are multi millionaires
I love sports, amateur & professional, but Ive never though of pro athletes as a cut above everyone else. These guys get paid millions for playing a game they love, they very fortunate and blessed. They could be working on a construction site, grocery store or car wash, by the way they are open too.Have you lived in this country very long?
I don't think of pro athletes as a cut above either, rather I was saying that sports and live entertainment for that matter (the rest of which has been put on hold) shouldn't take precedence over the health of the public. Great job earlier pointing out other places in which the government is lacking in it's ability to prioritize things but your initial post that I responded to was about grocery stores, that are essential and comparing them to an all-star game which quite obviously is not.I love sports, amateur & professional, but Ive never though of pro athletes as a cut above everyone else. Dont totally agree but that's cool. I think fans do care about owners and the team the player signs a contract is an organizational asset. That asset can be traded, cut or waived. Yeah, the players union and players have sharing which is fine.I don't think of pro athletes as a cut above either, rather I was saying that sports and live entertainment for that matter (the rest of which has been put on hold) shouldn't take precedence over the health of the public. I think LeBron and those who have followed after him are angry about the other things that I pointed out, which are that the league and the players' union keep pushing the players further and further physically. These players don't want to play a game that has nothing to do with competition and doesn't give them time to rest so they can play the second half of this grueling season. A game that hasn't even been agreed to.
Oh and owners are not players bosses, having revenue shares... not profit shares but actual revenue shares that can decrease the players compensation, makes players partners in this business endeavor far more than they are employees. This idea that owners are the boss is always laughable. None of us care about who owns the team, we don't root for owners, we don't wear clothing endorsed by owners. The players are the league, the owners are the investors... they are partners. The players could do this without the owners a lot easier than the owners could without the players but both sides agree that they mutually benefit from each other.
