We got this.. they been playing for awhile now Williams, Keon, Greg and Trendon plus we have Jabari

Wouldn't surprise me if Williams goes off and plays well tomorrow and brings home a ring.

Those cheesiest of cheese summer league rings are all of a sudden ice cool.
They can give it to me. It's cheesy, but it's cool. I've enjoyed these games because it's a Blazers fix. Baseball without access to my favorite team due to cost (Basketball & Football take up the sports budget) is meh. So at least this has been entertaining. Go Blazers!!

It does matter. Winning is winning. Culture created around winning is important.
I can assure you that the team of players that the Blazers have in summer league want to win. Go tell them it doesn't matter.

Go get this win!

This 100%. Creating a culture where everything is about winning and not settling may be something the team has been missing.

The Rockies. Talk about bad owners. The Monfarts take the cake. They actually took out 3000 seats to make a huge booze and schmooze deck. It's been a success for them moneywise. That's their legacy. But they don't put it back into the team. They did give Kris Bryant a huge deal, but that was a save face move after the Nolan Arenado ,for a cheese sandwich, and a bag of chips to be named later, debacle. Sucks. But i watch their highlights from each game, because i still care.

not to derail the thread, but that was a ridic deal for Bryant. the rox should have kept Arenado. far superior player. even Story’s stats are better than Bryant, though his BA is lame.

I have some family friends from Colorado Springs that are big Rockies fans. I'll have to ask them what they think about those ownership decisions. At least you have Bryant for a while..

The Kings have won Summer League twice in nine years and we have won it once. Winning Summer League is nice but it should not come at the expense of player development.

I guess i just see it differently? This is player development to me? Sure wish Sharp were involved but the rest absolutely are playing and learning. Winning is a part of that. I can't blame the players for the Stupid moves the Kings management has made? They absolutely had payers that could have been kept and that team could have won a bunch more game over the last decade.

But the Blazers are my #1, and the Broncos #1A as far as my sports loves go. Rockies distant 3rd.
Being a former "Denverite" (1996-2002) myself, I cannot help but call you out on the best thing Colorado sports has ever given the human race, and that would be my beloved COLORADO AVALANCHE!!!!!
The 1996, 2001, & 2022 Stanley Cup Champions!!!!
(finally, a team I love won something!)
Seriously, the 2001 Avs's are my all time fav sports team.
How can you omit them, and call yourself a Colorado sports fan?

Of course it doesn't matter, but it's fun. Why not enjoy it? What other Blazer stuff is there to engage in right now?

Why did that make fans "desperate" for enjoying what is?
It wasn't meant to be insulting as much as self deprecating because I'm one of the fans desperate enough to be pleading for the SL Championship win and Jabari looking like an all star while we win it.

A side note on the Monfarts. They've made so much money they were able to parley it into a beautiful , multiple building (condos, hotel, retail) complex across the street. Too bad they haven't put that much into quality pitching. And yes, quality pitching can happen at 20th & Blake. It just mostly happens for the best pitchers in baseball who play on other teams.

On the Monfort's side, i will say, they do a tremendous job of taking care of Coors Field. Opened in '95, it remains one of the finest in Baseball. Still looks brand new, inside and out. And the sunsets are the greatest in the game from the upper deck.

If the coach will let him.

Bryant has a ring and some decent career hardware. He was a smart by going to the Rox - he can help improve his stats to try to set himself up for a run to the HOF. But don’t be shocked if/when the Rox trade him a year or two into his deal. He got off to a slow start and has missed 50+ games. I’m glad the Giants didn’t try to re-sign him. And I have long been a big fan of his.
