Ant had a great preseason. I thought he looked stellar. Admire his desire and confidence. He averages in the upper 20s with other good metrics, he be in discussions for accolades, maybe even MIP. All star is tough because of the other amazing guards in the west. SGA, Luka, Steph, Booger, Fox, Murray, etc

If he can get that "bad defender" taken from his name, he would be much more valuable. In the past he's been a notable deficit on that end of the court. Turning that around would be big.

Hope you can do it Ant.
Well, apparently, 50-40-90 is for noobs. In the preseason, Ant was 60-61-70. So far, so good. Go Ant!

Shae needs to play 30mpg this year. It doesn’t matter if it’s all at SF. He is showing so much more than this time last year. Starting, off the bench, doesn’t matter. As long as Shae gets an opportunity to do a little bit of everything like Harden did as a 6th man in OKC, I’m fine with it.

Like this, he can get up for a rebound then start the break and either finish it himself or make the pass. Sharpe can do a lot of things well, and some of them very well. He does need the opportunities to show it with the ball in his hands.

WOW his passing was impressive. Just gotta let this guy go out and play.

Scoot (30)/Brogdon (18)
Ant (34)/Brogdon (10)/Thybulle (4)
Thybulle (18)/Sharpe (30)

Let Shae go out there and give him the responsibility to create for others. Brogdon is a steady vet who can always take the ball handling possibilities over if Shae is really struggling.

16/4/4 with an improvement on efficiency and competing for 6MOY would be a successful season to me.

Shae is looking really good; I definitely want him to play 30 mpg, get used to starter level minutes, regardless of where he starts the game. Same with Scoot; 30 minutes a game, hopefully a lot with Shae.
I actually quite like the idea of Shae coming off the bench now, as long as he gets 30mpg. Between Scoot, Ant, Grant, and DA, there’s already four scorers starting. So maybe it’s better to let Thybulle play the Sefalosha role, and Shae can come off the bench and do a bit of everything, a-la James Harden.

I’m going to not have any expectations of him on defense until next season. Despite being raw, he surpassed any expectations we had of him from June ‘22. Even if SF isn’t where his skills be maximized best, it doesn’t hurt for him to spend a year guarding guys bigger than him, especially forwards coming off the bench.

The Brooklyn Nets have waived Darius Bazley.

Bazley averaged 5.7 points and 6.3 rebounds on 42.9 percent three-point shooting for the Nets in preseason.

Bazley is expected to receive interest in free agency.
