We don't have a college FB thread do we? Anyone watch the upset of Notre Dame by Northern Indiana? Did anyone else have a problem with the spot when NIU had a third down play late in the 4th. It looked to me that the ref deliberately marked it almost a yard short of where he went down. Then while the replays on review seemed to show clearly he made it, the announcers are all saying it's too close to reverse. Did I just imagine that?

I was watching and agree with you. The ref was moving to mark it from behind where the ball had advanced to, so he definitely didn't have a good angle. The line judge on the other side of the field must have been taking a nap because it was pretty obvious from the camera angle we saw. Lucky it didn't cost them the game.

Colorado is a master example of why football is won in the trenches.

Deion won’t finish the year there. He’ll excuse himself is my guess.

While The Oregon Ducks struggled mightily to beat the Broncos 37-34. The Ohio State Buckeyes waltzed passed the Broncos 56-0!

Ten takeaways from week 2 by Nicole Auerbach. She is an NBC writer and IMHO she nails pretty much every one of them.

But if you want some of the info without clicking here ya go.
6. Oregon is still a work-in-progress.

The Ducks are supposed to be a national championship contender. They are not supposed to give up more sacks (7) through two games than all of last season (5). It isn’t supposed to take a last-second field goal to beat a Group of 5 opponent — even if said Group of 5 opponent is Boise State. Oregon coach Dan Lanning was visibly frustrated at the end of Saturday’s game, which was understandable..... And more-

5. Colorado is not for real.

Last year, it took until the fourth game for the Buffs to face the cold, hard truth … that they weren’t a great college football team. That they weren’t a Pac-12 or CFP contender. This year, that dose of reality hit earlier, in the Week 2 loss to Nebraska. As it turns out, Colorado’s offensive line is just as porous as we thought it was.... And more-

1. The Marcus Freeman era at Notre Dame includes yet another bad upset.
2. Texas is a true national title contender.
4. Nebraska is for real.

Love it! Norte Dame paid NIU 1.4 million to be their sacrificial lamb!

Was hoping Kentucky was going to pull off the upset. Didn’t think punting with less then 3 minutes to go was a good idea though

Cougars won the Apple Cup on a goal line stand. Huskies might concede the rest of the year. 2-1 ain't so bad

Tennessee beat Kent State 71-0

+ 628 total yards for the Volunteers

Yeah that’s not winning football against a juggernaut like Georgia.

That sounds like they gave up. There was no chance they were ever getting that ball back.

Cat fight !!
unranked BYU Cougars are whoopin' the #13 Kansas State Wildcats.

Came away from the USC/Michigan game completely unimpressed by either team. USC should not have been the 10th ranked team.

Wow? USC vs Michigan was a great game. Not sure what you watched? I thought Michigan was playing great and USC turned it way up in the second half but just fell short. Rankings seems about right?

I came away just the opposite. That was some brutal football. The Ducks at Michigan is going to be tough. Also, USC now has a defense.

Michigan cannot throw the ball. At all. If you can stop the run, you easily win the game.

Neither team could throw the ball. It was entertaining, but they both looked anemic on offense.
