• The Fire have beaten the Valkyries for the best starting record for an expansion team at 6-4. The Valkyries, who became a team last season, held the record at 5-5
• The Valkyries hold the record for most wins in a debut season for an expansion team with 23 wins. They are also the sole wnba expansion team to make the playoffs in their first season as a team.
• The Fire will play the Valkyries again on 8/30 in Portland, on 9/18 in San Francisco, and on 9/22 in Portland

Man, we either look like world beaters, or we look like a hastily assembled expansion team. No real in between. But then, it was raining 3's. That one Valkyrie (looks kinda like Fran from Dodgeball) came in for two quick 3's off the bench that were incredibly demoralizing. But give GS credit. They had snipers and we didn't. On to the next one......
