• The Fire are 1-8 all time vs the Sparks
• The original expansion Fire team famously ended the Sparks 12 game winning streak, defeating them 80-77 on July 11th, 2000 after losing twice to them earlier in the season.
• This will be the first WNBA game in the Moda Center since 2002 when it was the Rose Garden
• The Fire are 0-1 in the preseason after falling to the storm 91-81 on 4/29 in Seattle
• The Spark are 1-0 in the preseason after defeating the Nigerian National Woman's team 89-63 on 4/25 in San Diego

Seems like that'd be a good shopping area for an expansion team like us, snatch up previous high picks and give them some leeway in a tanking season.

I'm not disagreeing with you. You are 100% correct.

My post was in response to HCP saying 14,000 "in house" tonight. That's not true. There was not 14,000 people there at Moda for the game. It was closer to 9,000. Which is still a solid # for a preseason game IMO.

I remember way back in the day going to baseball games, they had turnstiles that actually counted you as you entered for an "official" attendance. Would be cool to see those, but also makes sense why they don't. Both because the inflated # is better, but also because there's not a lot the team can do once they sell the spots.
