Ball is very impressive, no doubt. Whoever gets him this summer is going to be very fortunate.I watched the first three of quarters but switched to see how the Blazers were doing. UCLA's offense is probably the best in the country. But they really lack on D.
That Ball kid is amazing. Oregon will be a serious Final Four team if they start Pritchard and continue to improve their offense.
I watched the first three of quarters...

...this seems impossible?!![]()
I refereed that Prichard kid. He's a BALLER.
What the hell happened to West Linn? When I went there if it got to the State Playoffs once in a while it was luck. Lake Oswego and Portland teams used to
tune us up regularly. Now it's a friggin' powerhouse. That's the last place I would expect to become a big time HS team.

Joy Best said:John Canzano,
You are talking about my son. My son was not recruited to go to ANY school. My son has been home-schooled his whole life--which means I have dedicated my life to his education...it's not perfect but I gave him my best.... Both my husband and I had my son when we were 19. We continued to play college basketball as our son ran around on the court during half time and between our games. : ) We both doubled majored and graduated college with high honors. I have been a college math professor for now 10 years. Believe me when I say that I think that a strong education leads to a bright future.
When I was in high school, I had the opportunity to play basketball for two different high schools—Centennial and Lakeridge. This is when I learned firsthand that academics is NOT EQUAL for all public schools. The educational opportunities the Lakeridge students were receiving was far superior to the education I received at Centennial. While maintaining my education degree in college, I also had the opportunity to student teach and observe Reynolds High School, Kellogg Middle School, Marshall High School, and David Douglas High School. All of the schools I have mentioned are filled with wonderful people and children who are all trying their best with the resources in which they have to work with, but the education still did not compare to what I experienced when I attended Lakeridge. Learning from all of my experiences, I wanted to make sure that my son has the best education possible.
My husband and I were excited to send our son to West Linn to give him the BEST opportunity that we could in order for him to have a chance of working hard and excelling as a student athlete, but more importantly equipping him with the academic skills needed to be able to obtain a job one day to compete on the GLOBAL level. I understand that "if" my son attends college and he has a chance of continuing to play the game of basketball…he will only play until he is about 22-23ish… but he will use his BRAIN to compete in the GLOBAL arena for the rest of his life. My son attends West Linn because it has an AMAZING education program and to be fair there were 8 seniors that graduated as well.
We live in America where there is freedom to choose to try and better yourself to live out your own "American Dream." Many men and women have lost their lives so that ALL of US could have FREEDOM to live out our own version of an "American Dream."
As a family, we are no different than any of you who are trying to give your children the best opportunity possible. We believe in staying positive in good and bad times...always keeping GOD first...and ALWAYS promoting hard work, and continuing to work hard even when things do not go in your favor...the one thing you NEVER do is give up...and ALWAYS continue to find a way to win in LIFE...regardless of the situation you are in...because sometimes life isn't fair...but EVEN in those situations you have to continue to work hard and do your best...My husband and I are trying to do our BEST as parents to provide an opportunity for our son to flourish and we have done this completely LEGALLY and WITHOUT BEING RECRUITED.
West Linn has been a GREAT COMMUNITY to be a part of thus far. The other West Linn parents have been extremely welcoming and kind. I look forward to getting the chance to meet more of them in the future. : )
My hope is that we ALL can come together as ONE community to support OUR young men who are striving to be SUCCESSFUL MEN IN OUR COMMUNITY and hopefully, if we are REALLY lucky, these young men will be able to serve and use their talents to SHINE not only in OUR community but in the communities ALLLLLLLLLLL around them as well. : )
I hope you ALL have a Happy New Year and a BLESSED start to 2017!!! : )
