Why in the hell didn't Jack at the very least keep the bullet proof vest? Oh wait, that would have prevented the dramatic "OMG Jack's been stabbed yet he keeps on fighting!" final episode.

I was sorta paying attention when my wife was watching last night--I missed the first 6 or so episodes and never really got into it--but I loved it when they got a call from the Russian guy's bodyguard...who happened to be bleeding next to his boss at the time, while his boss was nailed to the floor with a fireplace poker through his abdomen. No drawn-out fight scene...no truth-evoking torture...you see Jack bleeding in an elevator, commercial, Russian dude with fireplace poker through him.
