Someone shot at him while he was golfing.
 
Are they reporting he was shot at? I heard there was an unrelated shooting in the vicinity of his golf course while he was playing or leaving.
 
OK, I see the updated story is the Secret Service shot at someone who they saw pointing an AK-47 into the golf course.
 
total unconfirmed internet slop news here but people are saying the suspect was an older white guy "Ryan Routh" who was very pro ukraine

again, the first attempt had some alleged antifa member suspect that was passed around, was debunked later that day so who knows.

no video and not much to go on, doesn't sound like Trump was in serious danger tbh just a nutcase blindfiring outside of a golf course lol if he even got a shot off in the first place

Sounds like an ex Trump supporter who didn't like the way things went Trump's first term and then turned into a Biden/Harris supporter.

Much of what was reported was false.

He isn't anti-Ukraine, in fact he has recruited soldiers to fight for Ukraine. He only poked his gun out of the bushes; the only shots fired were by the Secret Service. The gang that couldn't shoot straight missed him, chased him through the bushes, and he got away. They figured out his name and arrested him later.
 
Associated Press says AP filmed him in Kyiv in April 2022 at a small demonstration in Kyiv’s Independence Square, 2 months after Russia invaded Ukraine.

A placard he held said: “We cannot tolerate corruption and evil for another 50+ years. End Russia for our kids.” He wore the American flag on his back. Routh also paid tribute to foreign citizens killed during the war.

The Ukrainian foreign legion says that since then, Routh has periodically contacted them with nonsensical delusional plans and ideas. They say he never served or collaborated with the Ukrainian military, and deny any connection.

The golf course was partially shut down for Trump as he played. Secret Service agents walked ahead a few holes, 400-500 yards. He was hidden in shrubbery with an AK-style rifle with a scope, and a GoPro camera. 2 backpacks containing ceramic tile hung on a fence.

An agent spotted the rifle sticking out of a fence and immediately fired 4-6 rounds. The man dropped the weapon and fled in an SUV. A witness took a picture of the license plate.

He was apprehended on I-95, a 45-mile drive north. He was unarmed and didn't ask why he was being detained.

According to Newsweek, suspect is white, male, native born. Supported Trump in 2016, Tulsi Gabbard in 2019, Biden in 2020 and Ramaswamy/Haley in 2024. He has a long record of convictions, civil judgments and a contested divorce. He broke with Trump over Ukraine and was upset Ukraine wouldn't let him join up.
