Politics 3% federal sales tax for health care?

If a 3% federal sales tax gets us medicare for all would you at least consider it?
 
So would this be a "we're moving to single payer my dudes, buckle up!" thing? Because our artificially jacked up health care costs make it look like we'd need a 48% sales tax to pull it off.

I'd do a "100% tax on all citizens worth over $5,000,000, taking their property and turning it into low income housing, and giving everyone healthcare with the proceeds" too, but that's kind of a one-and done thing, not good long-term policy.

I wonder--if Senate Republicans and Democrats passed some bipartisan fixes (mostly authorizing the CSR payments), would Trump veto it or would he sign it to get a "win?"

I guess it's academic, since such a bill would never pass the House.
 
One of the amendments to the republican bill last night to repeal ObamaCare was single payer. It got 0 votes, and 4 democrats voted against it (the rest voted present).

Trump is right on this one. In the tweet the dog posted.
