360 not working!

my xbox 360 isnt turning on. it happened to me once before a few months ago, but it worked again after a day or two. this time though, its been three days. i NEED my 360, lol. any ideas on what to do.

Send it to Microsoft to be repaired? Or did your warranty expire already?

call 18004myxbox..if its not turning on try messing with the power cord..push it in. Older 360s for some reason have bad connections with their power source..or unplug it for a few days let it rest and then see what happens

^ i already messed with the cord, but i didnt leave it unplugged for a few days. i'll try that. any other ideas in case that doesnt work?

lmao, no, i dont own any pets. but i do know someone that lost their controller charger due to their dog.

Clean the lense with a Fellowes CD/DVD cleaning disk and make sure dust isn't present anywhere on or inside the console. Problem likely solved.

omg the same thing happened to me like 2 weeks ago my power brick light was red instead of orange, and i called up xbox and there ilke well we see this problem happened befor so im like did it there like yea abou a year ago then i remembered i called and they sent me a new brick and i sold it for 100 bucks on ebay, anyways so im like ok can u send me another one they were like no your not under warrenty so im like how much is a brick and they said 80 bucks so i got all pissed off and hung up then i took the plug out and plugged into a another outlet and it worked, i guess its cause it was in a extender and the extender had was ful so voltage was low

Plug your power brick in the wall. I had problems when I had it plugged in a extension with all kinds of stuff plugged in it too. Hope this helps.

Otherwise, call Micro$oft.

anyway, i did the thing where i just leave it unplugged overnight and it worked, so thanks for all of your help but i got it.

Your right.. for now. PS3 is the future.. once the game developers bring out games that bring out the best in the system people will see how much more powerful ps3 is.. it does all boil down to personal opinion tho

360 has a one year head start on the PS3, 360 lacked games in its beginning as well.

and besides its usual generic shooters 360 is lacking anyway.
