I stated this whole situation sounds like a set up.

Either:

1. A group or individual targeted this guy because he was printing 3D guns. Either a gun control lobby or a gun manufacturer or someone with interests in either of those groups.

2. The whore may have found out who he was after having sex with him and then attempted to extort money to keep quiet. That may have failed, which is why she reported him to the police.
