Vermette would be an upgrade over Miller (due to experience)

Vermette is 11 years older than JT. I think JT gives Rangers a longer
life for future playoff years. Vermette, like St. Louis, is a short term
player. An older player never guarantees a SC.

He isn't saying deal Miller for Vermette. He is saying if we deal for Vermette he moves to the 3rd line and Miller moves to the 4th line for this playoff run. No doubt Miller is a big part of our future IMO. Cannot see Sather dealing him for a rental player.
