Well Rick, so far so good, just allowed his 1st base runner with a walk & has 4 Ks in 3 innings. Now if he could only learn how to wear a fucking cap.

totus, we had an earlier convo bout solarte, wondering why so long in minors, not tryin to be judgmental here, but i have seen him not look so good defensively, saw him go back on a pop up and fall on his arse few games back, that low throw 2nite from mccann, he wasn't even close to pickin that out of dirt... so maybe his defense is reason? when you're a utility man in the bigs, u better be strong with glove.

If he has less then 110 pitches after the 8th, & a 2-0 lead, I'd let him finish but I'd go batter by batter in the 9th.

He's averaging 14 pitches per inning through 6 so unless he has a quick 7th he's not going past 8 regardless.

pineda lets up one solo shot and then a single...lets bring in Cabral and have the terrible bullpen get 9 outs on the red sox

Balk my ass, that has got to be one of the dumbest calls in baseball. That's almost as bad as the false start in football. And Pineda has to get through at least this inning.


Damn, I stepped away for 10 minutes I didn't even realize Pineda was taken out.
