yankees on the board 1st 3 hitters 3 get 2 base, go for the kill

Off to a great start. Now I'm excited to see Tanaka do his thing. GO YANKEES!

get rid of umpires, that 2nd pitch was a strike would have been 0-2 instead of 1-1 fluke... umps just get worse & worse

Its going to be great watching Ellsbury at the top of the order setting the table.

wow, switched over to knick game just for a second and it was well worth it, not because of the knicks play, they blow, but they had jim kelly on, wow God Bless this man, just had major surgery, promised his daugther he would take her to a knicks game, big fan he says, also a heat fan cause of him going to u of m, but what a guy, prayers for you sir!

Tanaka is not fooling anybody but for this night I'm going to give him a pass due to nerves.

Texeira out and from looking at some of those throws his wrist is still a big problem

Oops, maybe hamstring instead. So he can't run or throw right now. LOL

Son of a Godzilla, the Yanks paid 25 million for WHAT....someone remind me why Cashman, and the Kids pursued a kid, who gives up a HR to Melky on his 2nd pitch???????

Loads the bases, unable to get an out when he needs it most.....

At least the Yanks Bats are getting some nice hits.yet, they're going to need a hellluva lot more....

Bring on the Bullpen already, void Tanaka's contract......to early to say such, hell no... I am NOT impressed, with a 24-0 wonder boy...
At least ICHIRO can save face, perhaps, and show the paparazzi of Toyko, who is the real WIZARD. It sure as hell is not Tanaka.

Teixeira is just an accident waiting to happen. The only good thing here is its not his wrist. But the hamstring is no walk in the park either.

Don't get me wrong, I am not into bashing Yankees. I want to see Tanaka succeed, and go 24-10 would be alright, I'd be glad to see that, yet I really doubt it.

Definitely no Bob Gibson, Juan Marichal, hell, You name it....he's not even Chien Ming W@ng

WHAO! easy Rob, its his 1st major league start, I'm going to attribute this outing to just a bad case of nerves. BTW: did you get my last PM & did you check out post #17 in the thread titled Ricks art work?

Sorry, Rick, I know I am chomping at the bit to hard....I will indeed give Tanaka, heck 2 games, to wring out the nerves...! so sorry char-ye.

Going to check out #17, I indeed got the PM, and enjoyed the Facebook Art to ---(its coming)----To The HILTS...

Oh yes, I wasn't sure what the #17 was off the top of the head. Yes, indeed I spent most of today, well a good part of it, checking out your incredible art work. Tell me, how wide and tall are the dimensions to those great pieces of work. I really like how and what you did. I downright love the Yanks, Giants, 49ers, hell, I love them all, even the Boys of Summer....I get off on that kind of work.........BIG TIME..

I only wish my house were bigger, as I'd have to hire you to do my walls....

BTW- Ellsbury is looking damn good good...SHIT, so is Solarte..the whole infield has looked tight, well good enough for me unless I missed something.

So far I'm really starting to like this solarte kid

I don't know how this kid Solarte was in the minors for 8 years. I know its early but I really like this kids approach to hitting, And he just looks like a hitter.

Me 3...Solarte, why was he in the minors so long, anyone know??? I like his glove, and obviously Nunez enjoys Solarte's work to, (bad joke-sorry)...

Solarte's approach to the ball, is aggressive, yet harnessed...hope he continues to clobber the shit out of the ball, and have glue in his glove, with a good arm, a good utility man...

Again, does anyone have any clue why Solarte was in the Minors so darn long?

C'mon boy, Takans tanks tanka Tanaka, my keyboard is stuttering again...damn it...

I got to say, I never thought i would like the replay rule, yet I'm beginning to after watching quit a few other games as well...

Rick-

do you get the WGN, Cubs channel?

I watched today game vs. Rhino's Phillies at Wrigley... It made me think of you...(not only was it colder than witches tit), but Mr. Cub, Ernie Banks, Fergie Jenkins, and Billy Williiams were all part of the opening pitch ceremony-(with Ryne too, funny odd, a Philly Mgr. standing on the side of the mound), standing alongside other Cub Legends, he himself one as well..

Get this, the announcer crew, had all 3 talking baseball just prior to all 3 singing Take Me out To the Ball Game, but prior Fergie was saying, "I remember when we were playing in Montreal, and we couldn't see the foul lines cuz of the snow that was all over the field, so they had to sweep the lines clean, and we just kept on playing." Incredible, to see all 3 in Wrigley. Damn it I want to go to that Park so damn bad, I could piss my pants.

If he keeps up hitting this way, it will solve a big problem going into next season.

Maybe, just maybe Tonka Toy can still pull this Win out..let us all pray.......

Ichiro fielding that last high fly, looks like a Hall of Gamer-Famer in the field, tho' getting thrown out at 3rd was a bit of a stretch, for even a HOF'er.....

Yeah, he got greedy, with no one out he should have settled for 2nd.
